Changes from 5.06 to 5.07:
- Bug Fix: The Checking algorithm no longer deletes the Collection
root directory if it empty (if option delete empty subdirectories during
check is set).
Changes from 5.05 to 5.06:
- Added option to the Report Options TAB
to output the Collection Comment in the Summary Report.
- Enhanced Checking algorithm to delete more/all empty subdirectories if
desired.
- Fixed some problems in Internal File Browser caused by a
limitation of Windows API, when a complete pathname exceeds 256 (MAX_PATH)

Changes from 5.04 to 5.05:

searched only in Csv-Files with Pathnames (ECSV).
- Bug Fix: Find Collections Dialog Box did not remember
last search settings.
- Bug Fix: Edit Collection Dialog did not work
as expected for collection source directories on USB-Disks (since version
5.04).
- Better handling of Archives on Removable-Drives (Usb-Sticks). See "Collection Archive/Group Definition" for

- Diagnostics Report now also shows (previously) detected and currently
disconnected drives.
- Some more Dialogs can be resized now and remember their size, position and the column widths of

Changes from 5.03 to 5.04:
- Bug fix: Sorting from download directories to collections did not always
remove already archived files.
- Function to "Copy Collection Files to an Upload Directory" remembers the
last settings now.
- The combo-box of the Internal File Browser accepts strings with
environment variables now (e.g. %APPDATA% will expand to "c:\users\<username>\AppData\Roaming").
- Found solution (at least for my PC) for "Extremely slow deletion of
files/folders during checking or in Internal File Browser" under Windows 10
(see Tips & Tricks).
- Better handling of Archives on Usb-Hard-Drives. See "Collection
Archive/Group Definition" for details.
- Added option to move duplicate files to a dedicated Collection
subdirectory (see Checking TAB, and Edit Collection Dialog Box).
- Added options to "Search for CRC32", "Search for Filesize" and "Search
only in INCOMPLETE Collections" to Find in Collection Csv-Files Dialog Box.
- Added option to "Search only in INCOMPLETE Collections" to Find
Collections Dialog Box.
- The Window displays the selected Profile in the Caption now rather than
the registry path.
- Minor changes to Profile handling (e.g. cannot edit a Profile, when a
running instance of this Profile exists).
- When registry settings are automatically saved at exit, the name of the
profile in use is added to the filename (only if it is not the <Default
Profile>).
- Minor changes of File/Folder properties on multiple files/folders.
- Some more changes in Html-Help.

Changes from 5.01 to 5.02:

- Fixed sort order of "Sort Files by Type" in Internal File Browser (Files
without extension were not handled correctly).

the List-Controls.
- Fixed line spacing in all List-Controls under Windows 10 (worked/works well on
all other Windows versions).
- The program can now UNRAR Files created with RAR Version 5 (see internally
used 3rd party libraries below).
- Updated internally used 3rd party libraries:

from 2.32 -> 3.0, because it is lot slower and has some memory leaks.
- Added Alpha-Channel support (degree of transparency) to internal Image
decoding library (e.g. for PNG images)
- Added some optimization for rendering of images
- Some more changes in Html-Help
The Standalone-Version of The!Checker should run on every Windows system without the need of additional
DLLs.

Installation:
- Extract the downloaded ZIP-File to a directory of your choice (e.g. c:\Program
Files\The!Checker)
- Execute piccheck.exe from this directory.
- If you want, create a Shortcut to the executable on your Desktop (or Start Menu).
Running the program for the first time:
- Read "Getting Started" in the Online-Help first
- Go to the "Options Menu" and set the "Collection Defaults"
- Go to the "Options Menu" and set up the "CRC-Cache"
- Set up Collections and check.
